Tree planting activity sa pagdiriwang ng World Arbor Day

Sa pagdiriwang ng World Arbor Day, isang tree planting activity ang isinagawa ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Tboli sa pamumuno ni Mayor Dibu S. Tuan kahapon Hunyo 29, 2015 sa Sitio Kule, Barangay Salacafe ng nasbing bayan, ito ay dinaluhan ng grupong Scott Riders Philippines Inc. (South Cotabato Chapter) na pinangungunahan ng kilalang motocross rider sa lalawigan na si Nonoy Zambra at sampu ng kanyang mga kasama.

Isinagawa ang pagtatanim ng mga punong kahoy sa isa’t kalahating ektaryang area ng bagong school site ng Salacafe Elementary School - Kule Extension na pinagtulong-tulongan ng mga tao sa kumunidad na maitayo ang bagong paaralan. Kasabay na rin nito ay ang pagdaos ng Dibu Kartion isa sa pangunahing programa ng administrasyon ngayon.

Bilang adbokasiya ng grupong Scott Riders, sila ay umiikot sa mga bayan sa lalawigan gamit ang kani-kanilang mga motorsiklo upang maipaabot sa mga kumunidad na kailangan pangalagaan ang ating kapaligiran, magtanim ng mga punong kahoy at iwasan ang pagputol nito.



RD Dillera, pre-birthday celebration at Sitio Kule

Department of Tourism XII's Regional Director Nelly Nita Dillera joined the Dibu Kariton outreach activity in sitio Kule, Salacafe today in which she was received with advance birthday greetings.

Dillera, who will celebrate her natal day on Wednesday, spared time to get to the community to see for herself the Guests Receiving Center, a facility built by the community people for the tourists that shall visit Holon enroute the trail from Kule.

The regional director was handed by the local folks of a token made from indigenous materials. In turn, she also gave several sports equipment for the pupils of Salacafe Elementary School - Kule Extension.


In her message, Dillera lauded the enthusiasm of the local government of Tboli in carrying out the development to the communities, including the dynamism it shows on tourism initiatives which she believes will help them in the department to boost the tourism industry in the area.

Teams Tboli Knoon, victorious in home court

In connection with this year’s Tnalak festival and 49th foundation anniversary of the province of South Cotabato, an inter-LGU Basketball and Volleyball Tournament has been included as preliminary activities, with the municipality of Tboli hosting the games on June 26, 2015.






The tournament, which started in the last week of May, follows a two-day in a week game schedule where each participating local government unit is required to host.

According to South Cotabato Provincial Sports Coordinator Jinky Avance, the tournament aims to build camaraderie among employees and officials of the local government units in South Cotabato and to provide venue for them to be able to participate in the province’s festivities.

In the basketball men played by and between the municipality of Tboli and the municipality of Banga, the Tboli team sustained its lead up to the last second marking the 123-117 points over Banga.

In an interview with team coach Francis Sagao, he disclosed that Tboli Basketball team now positions on the first spot having 6 wins - 1 lose standing, with Lake Sebu ranking second, while Koronadal City and the Provincial Government of South Cotbatao tied on the third notch.

Meanwhile, the Volleyball women matched by and between Tboli and Banga turned out to be a thrilling game. Emerged victorious was the municipality of Tboli with 5 wins- 2 loses standing, placing the team on the third rank just behind the Provincial Government of South Cotabato and the municipality of Surallah.
 
Sagao also added that the next game is set on July 7 at the municipality of Norala for the determination of top four teams that shall play the cross-over matches.


As their hospitality gesture, Mayor Dibu S. Tuan and First Lady Bernadette Tuan offered packed lunch for the players and officiating personnel of the tournament. Joining the first couple in receiving the players from the different municipalities were Vice Mayor Grace Silva and councilors Abelardo Serofia, Jr. and Merlyn Ganchoon, both acting as team managers.

Heavy rain causes damages to government projects, farms, houses in Tboli

The downpour of rain in the evening of June 23 which lasted for almost 24 hours has caused damages to barangay roads, agricultural crops, houses and even to the on-going construction of farm-to-market roads under the Payapa at Masaganang Pamayaman or PAMANA, according to the initial Damage Assessment and Need Analysis (DANA) report submitted by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) to the office of the Municipal Mayor, dated June 25, 2015.




In the said report, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer at the same time MDRRM Officer Designate Thelma Gedoria mentioned that the heavy and long rain has wrecked havoc to some access roads to the barangays.



In Barangay New Dumangas, the DANA team accounted for slight damages on some roads, while the foot bridge connecting Sitio Halo in New Dumangas and Barangay Halilan in Lake Sebu has been seen showing instability to withstand more volume of water in Allah river.

It also indicated that water current in Gao river is relatively normal while Allah river is obviously strong as serving catchments to several water tributaries.


Meanwhile, the road that links barangay Sinolon and Lamhaku has also been devastated.

The report further disclosed that several parcel of farm lots near the river banks in Talufo have been eroded, some of which have been planted with rice and corn that are on vegetative stage. Additionally, a couple of landslide incidents along the road from Talufo going to Lambuling have been documented. With the on-going construction of PAMANA road concreting in the area, some heavy equipment of the local government of Tboli immediately responded to do road repair.

Gedoria likewise reported two houses made of light materials were damaged by a landslide in Lambuling while six families have been urged to evacuate their houses due to another possible landslide.

In Blaan area, however, Malugong Central Elementary School covered court has been filled with eroded soil from the nearby hill.

Barangay Edwards also accounts for damages of over a hundred hills of bamboos planted in the riparian zones along the Safali river.


As of press time, the DANA team is currently doing assessment and monitoring activities in other barangays, particularly in the Blaan area.

Hidak falls binuksan, Ground Breaking isinagawa

Hindi naging hadlang ang malakas na pagbuhos ng ulan para  sa mga tagapangasiwa na ipagpatuloy ang naka iskedyul nang ground breaking ceremony ng Hidak Falls Eco-Tourism project sa barangay ng Kematu kahapon ng umaga Hunyo 24, taong 2015.

 Ang ground breaking ay gaganapin sana sa Hidak Falls area, subalit dahil na rin sa malakas na pagbuhos ng ulan ito ay inilipat sa Receiving Center ng mga bisita sa barangay complex ng Kematu.




Bilang isang high-end tourist destination, ang Hidak Falls ay binansagang “Sanctuary in the Greenwoods” na mayroong temang tree adventure para sa mga pasilidad nito at sa iba pang atraksyon.

Sa nakaraang mga linggo, pinauna nang ibinigay ng Department of Tourism Regional Office 12 ang halagang dalawa’t kalahating milyong piso sa lokal na pamahalaan ng Tboli para gamitin sa  unang bahagi ng pagpapatupad ng proyekto.

Sa magkahiwalay na okasyon, sinabi ni Tourism Officer Designate Rodel Hilado na inaprubahan na ng Tourism Infrastracture Economic Zone Authority o TIEZA ang dalawandaan at limampung milyung pisong panukala ng DOT 12 para pundohan ang state-of-the-art development ng Hidak Falls.

Sa kanyang mensahe, sinabi ni Punong Barangay Mansueto Dela Peña na siya ay nagpapasalamat sa Panginoon dahil sinagot nito ang kanilang mga panalangin sa pamamagitan ng pagdating ng proyektong pang turismo sa kanilang komunidad, na maari nilang mapakinabangan ang kanilang likas na yaman para sa benepisyo ng mga taong nakatira rito.



Pinangunahan ni Regional Director Nelly Nita Dillera ng Department of Tourism 12, kasama sina Vice Mayor Silva at ilang mga opisyal ng munisipyo at barangay ang pagdiriwang pati na rin ang ceremonial ground breaking.

Joint MADAC, POC & MDRRMC Meeting, Idinaos

Ginanap ang isa na namang pinagsamang Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), Peace and Order Council (POC) at Municipal Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Council (MDRRMC) Meeting ng bayan ng Tboli sa Conference Hall ng Tboli Municipal Police Station kahapon Hunyo 23, taong 2015, at bilang Local Chief Executive naging tagapangasiwa ng pagpupulong si Mayor Dibu S. Tuan.

Dumalo din sa nasabing pagpupulong sina Vice Mayor Grace S. Silva, ilang miyembro ng Sangguniang Bayan, mga Department Heads ng lokal na pamhalaan, mga punong barangay, pulisya, sundalo at mga miyembro ng nabanggit na mga konseho.

Napag-usapan sa isang araw na pagpupulong kung anu ba ang mga hakbang na dapat gawin para sa ikatatahimik ng bayan at masugpo ang mga krimen lalung-lalo na ang paghihigpit sa batas laban sa ilegal na droga. Kasama rin sa napag-usapan ang pagpapaigting sa seguridad ng mga mamayan sa panahon ng kalamidad.

Dahil na rin sa pagdalo ng mga punong barangay, nagkaroon din ng pagkakataon ang ilang mga sektor na mapa-abot ang kanilang mga ipapatupad na programa para sa mga barangay, kagaya ng pagpapalagay ng mga VAW (Violence Against Womens) Desk sa bawat pamahalaang barangay na tinalakay ni MLGOO Resty Libunao, at ang layuning mag imbita ng dalawang tao mula sa bawat barangay para ipasailalim sa pagsasanay sa basic rescue at fire fighting na tinalakay naman ni SFO4 Winny Fundar ng BFP.

Naging tagapagsalita rin sina Municipal Helath Officer Dra. Josephine Armada para sa isyung tumatalakay sa kalusugan ng bayan at Municipal Environment and Natural Resoursec Officer Julian Asion para naman sa mga isyung may kinalaman sa ating kalikasan.

Sa kanyang mensahe sa pagtatapos ng pagpupulong, sinabi ni Mayor Dibu Tuan na “Sana sa mga taong dumalo ay marami kayong natutunan sa mga isyung ating tinalakay, dahil iba na ang may alam, at maging alerto sa lahat ng panahon, alamin kung sinu-sinong mga otoridad ang dapat lapitan sa panahon ng krimen at kalamidad”.

Tboli Municipal Children’s Playground re-opened after renovation

The Children’s Playground of the municipality of Tboli has been re-opened through a launching program held today, June 19, 2015, after the necessary renovations and installation of new game station were completed.

The launching program, held in the municipal plaza, was graced by the municipal officials headed by Mayor Dibu S. Tuan, Sangguniang Bayan members, department heads and employees.

As the beneficiaries of the project, the local government has invited 100 kindergarten children from Lugan Central Elementary School, Savior’s Way Christian College, Poblacion Day Care Center, and TLDFI – TEACH Early Child Care Development.

Highlighting the launching program was the presentation of mascots Jollibee and Twerlie of Jollibee Foods Corporation that catered the snacks of the participants. The excited children were also chanced to play in the playground after the ribbon cutting of the facility that was spearheaded by Mayor Dibu Tuan.

Believing in the ideal that ‘Ang Kabataan ay Pag-asa ng Bayan’, Mayor Dibu Tuan, in his message, said it is imperative that appropriate programs be crafted and shared by various sectors of the community to ensure their holistic growth as citizens of the land.

On such premise, Mayor Tuan explained, the local government of Tboli has developed a Children’s playground in the municipal plaza where the kids can enjoy some physical exercises with the various play stations. Recently, he said, the local government has set up additional equipment to augment the adventures the kids can enjoy.

The mayor also said the project is expected to boost the welfare of the children, much as the municipality works to be a child-friendly municipality.

To ensure that the Children’s Playground will last, security personnel shall be deployed to oversee the facilities as well as the playing children
 
The Children’s Playground shall be opened during day time.



On Monday, a blessing ceremony for the facility was held with which the municipal employees and officials have attended. by Bary L. Lugan

MSWDO, namahagi ng Bigas sa mga magsasakang na apektuhan ng tag-tuyot



Namahagi ng bigas ang Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) nang lokal na pamahalaan ng Tboli para sa mga magsasakang  na apektuhan ng matinding tag tuyot noong nakaraang buwan.

Ayon sa Department of Agriculture ay nagkaka halaga ng mahigit  (P51,957,880.00) Fifty one million, nine hundred fifty seven thousand eight hundred eighty pesos  ang mga napinsalang pananim at mga alagang hayop ng mga magbubukid ang apektado.

Ang Rice assistance na ipinamahagi ng LGU Tboli ay galing naman sa calamity fund upang ibahagi ang kaunting tulong sa mga magsasaka.


Ayon kay Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer Thelma V. Gedoria (MSWDO) nasa syam (9) na mga barangay na ang nakakuha ng Rice assistance na  ipinamahagi sa bawat  pamilya.  Kasalukuyan pa ring namamahagi  ng bigas ang LGU Tboli sa iba pang mga brgy. sa nasabing bayan.

Independence Day idinaos, Lamhaku Hot Spring Binuksan sa Publiko

Nakiisa ang bayan ng Tboli sa pag diriwang ng ika isang daan at labimpitong kasarinlan ng bansang Pilipinas noong biyernes Hunyo 12, taong 2015 na pinangunahan ni Hon. Mayor Dibu S. Tuan, Vice Mayor Grace S. Silva at mga miyembro ng sangguniang bayan, kasama na rin ang mga empleyado ng munisipyo at ilang ahensiya ng gobyerno, ito ay idinaos sa unang pagkakataon sa baranggay Lamhaku, kasabay na rin ng pagbubukas ng Receiving Center ng Lamhaku El Kini o hot spring.

 
Matapos ang pagbibigay pugay sa watawat ng Pilipinas sa pamamagitan ng Flag raising ceremony at pag-aalay ng mga bulaklak, ay nagkaroon ng kaunting programa para sa pormal na pagbubukas ng Lamhaku El Kini o Hot Spring at nagsagawa ng ribbon cutting ceremony sa receving center nito.
 


Dinagsa ng mga bisita ang pagbubukas ng tourist spot, kabilang sa mga dumalo ay ang Provincial Information Office na pinamumunoan ni Romar Olivares, sampu ng kanyang mga kasama sa opisina, na nangakong tutulongan nila ang local na pamahalaan ng Tboli sa pag endorso ng nasabing tourist spot, meron ding ilang pribadong indibidwal na dumalo upang masaksihan ang pagbubukas nito at ng ma eksperyinsyahan ang kahangahangang tanawin sa Lamhako hot spring.

Sinubukan rin sa unang pagkakataon ang mga bagong biling ATV o all-terrain vehicle papunta sa Hot Spring, ayon pa kay mayor Tuan ang daan papunta sa doon ay “ATV friendly” o maayos ang daan para sa mga motorsiklong ito.

Sa kanyang mensahe sinabi ni Mayor Tuan na dapat pahalagahan at pakitungoan ng maayos ng mga tour guide at ng mga taong nakatira sa Brgy. Lamhako ang kanilang mga bisita, dahil ito ang magbibigay sa kanila ng magandang pagkakakitaan, ayon pa sa alkalde, na maswerte ang komunidad ng Lamhako dahil mayroon silang likas na yaman, kaya sila nabiyayaan ng malalaking proyektong katulad nito.
