Tboli Municipal Children’s Playground re-opened after renovation

The Children’s Playground of the municipality of Tboli has been re-opened through a launching program held today, June 19, 2015, after the necessary renovations and installation of new game station were completed.

The launching program, held in the municipal plaza, was graced by the municipal officials headed by Mayor Dibu S. Tuan, Sangguniang Bayan members, department heads and employees.

As the beneficiaries of the project, the local government has invited 100 kindergarten children from Lugan Central Elementary School, Savior’s Way Christian College, Poblacion Day Care Center, and TLDFI – TEACH Early Child Care Development.

Highlighting the launching program was the presentation of mascots Jollibee and Twerlie of Jollibee Foods Corporation that catered the snacks of the participants. The excited children were also chanced to play in the playground after the ribbon cutting of the facility that was spearheaded by Mayor Dibu Tuan.

Believing in the ideal that ‘Ang Kabataan ay Pag-asa ng Bayan’, Mayor Dibu Tuan, in his message, said it is imperative that appropriate programs be crafted and shared by various sectors of the community to ensure their holistic growth as citizens of the land.

On such premise, Mayor Tuan explained, the local government of Tboli has developed a Children’s playground in the municipal plaza where the kids can enjoy some physical exercises with the various play stations. Recently, he said, the local government has set up additional equipment to augment the adventures the kids can enjoy.

The mayor also said the project is expected to boost the welfare of the children, much as the municipality works to be a child-friendly municipality.

To ensure that the Children’s Playground will last, security personnel shall be deployed to oversee the facilities as well as the playing children
 
The Children’s Playground shall be opened during day time.



On Monday, a blessing ceremony for the facility was held with which the municipal employees and officials have attended. by Bary L. Lugan
